Risto Avramovski (1943-)

      Born in 1943. Composer and musical publicist. A graduate of the music academy in Belgrade, Mr. Avramovski is one of the most original Macedonian composers. Composed in a wide variety of musical genres, with emphasis on big orchestras and vocals. Performed across Europe, the US, and China. He has composed two operas, Bolen Dojchin, according to the drama of Georgi Stalev, and the opera Lydia Makedonska, formed around biblical motifs. He received the following awards: the City of Skopje Award in 1974, the 4th of July Award in 1978, the 11th of October Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004.
